Ryan has built an impressive resume including more than a dozen national and international commercials, leading roles in original off-broadway productions, guest starring on network television series, starring alongside Cameron Diaz and James Marsden in Richard Kelly’s feature film, The Box. Recently, Ryan appeared in a three-episode stint in HBO television series Boardwalk Empire. In his leisure hours, Ryan enjoys spending time in the New York area with his wife, Shannon, and their dog, Huck.
Ryan has played great roles such as in the hit Netflix Original "Daredevil", "Law & Order" and most recently on the Amazon Prime Original "The Tick". Ally Walker made her television debut in the NBC daytime soap opera, Santa Barbara (1988), before landing the leading roles on the short-lived dramas True Blue (1989–1990), and Moon Over Miami (1993).
During the 1990s, Walker had roles in films such as Universal Soldier (1992), Singles (1992), When the Bough Breaks(1994), While You Were Sleeping (1995), Kazaam (1996), and Happy, Texas (1999). From 1996 to 1999, she played the leading role as Doctor Samantha Waters on the NBC crime drama series Profiler, for which she received Saturn Award for Best Actress on Television nomination. She returned to television with role in the HBO drama series Tell Me You Love Me (2007), and later played villainous Agent June Stahl in the FX crime drama, Sons of Anarchy, (2008–2010). Walker also had the leading role in the short-lived Lifetime police drama series The Protector in 2011. During Seasons 4 and 5 (2014 and 2015) of Longmire, she played Dr. Donna Monaghana, a therapist treating veterans who is the title character's love interest.

The highly anticipated episode, which aired July 27, 2017, marked the first Gay/Lesbian episode of the show in its history of over 1k episodes. Baxter took the hot seat and discussed dates she had with three other women: Alison, April and Kathleen.

Hailing from North Carolina, Jenn moved to New York City just three days after graduating from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. She has since amounted an impressive resume with roles in shows such as “Army Wives,” “Louie,” “Phil Spector,” “Justified” and a lead role on FX’s comedy “Saint George” playing George Lopez’ wife. If you ask Jenn though, it took her a while to find her groove in Hollywood – she was still selling pizzas in Central Park while filming “Justified.” Her theatre highlights include appearing on Broadway in the American premiere of Tom Stoppard’s trilogy, “The Coast of Utopia” (which earned 11 Tony Awards) and numerous Off-Broadway productions including A.R. Las Vegas native, Mikalah Gordon made her entertainment debut at only sixteen-years-old as one of the Top 12 contestants on season 4 of American Idol. Currently, the sultry vocalist can be seen featured at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas performing inside Rose. Rabbit. Lie. Wednesday’s through Saturday’s starting at 7pm.
Although audiences fell in love with Gordon’s powerful voice and unique stage presence, the singer has also become known for her mark on the LA comedy scene where she has headlined in legendary venues like The Comedy Store and the Laugh Factory.
She has guest starred on the WB sitcom Living with Fran, was a field correspondent for The Tyra Banks Show and The TV Guide Network, and served as a co-host onAmerican Idol Extra. Truly talented, Mikalah has also proven a knack for the dramatic where she starred on the CBS hit show, The Unit.

Father of plus-sizedSupermodel Hunter McGrady, Michael has lived a lived a life meant for a screenplay. He was born and raised in Washington State where he studied Business Administration at the University of Washington with plans to attend law school. Those plans shifted when he was diagnosed with malignant melanoma at the age of 19(the same cancer that took his father’s life only one year prior). Upon receiving a clean bill of health, he decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue his lifelong (and secret) desire of acting.
In addition to his success as an actor, he is an accomplished fine artist whose work is currently represented in several galleries across the country. McGrady and his wife Ilka, own and operate McGrady Fine Art. When not filming, McGrady can be found performing with his band Michael McGrady’s Sonic Groove in and around the Los Angeles area. He also enjoys sailing, surfing, riding his Harley or soaring his Hang Glider above the mountains of beautiful Santa Barbara. He holds two black belts in two different styles of Karate, and is actively involved in coaching youth sports– and even coached all three of his children.

Ruggedly handsome, and standing at a mere 6’5″ it’s no surprise that VAN HELSING star Aleks Paunovic is breaking hearts across screens both big and small.
Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, to a Croatian mother and Serbian father, Aleks knew from an early age that he was destined to tell stories. A skilled athlete with a championship amateur boxing title under his belt, his thirst for living on the edge led him to a career as a stunt actor. In addition to his strength and athletic accolades, Aleks is a musician at heart and was part of a rock band in his youth. In fact, it was during a performance when he was asked to audition for the HBO movie “Heads,” and as fate would have it he landed his first acting role and set forth to take Hollywood by storm.
Fans may know Aleks from such roles as Sgt. Omar Fischer in Battlestar Gallactica, as well as his role as a developmentally challenged man accused of murder in “Personal Effects,” opposite Kathy Bates, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Ashton Kutcher.
Aleks’ other credits to date include the film “This Means War” opposite Tom Hardy, “Numb,” opposite Jamie Bamber due out this year, as well as the highly anticipated “War for the Planet of the Apes” due out in July of 2017. Additionally, he has starred in numerous television series such as: “Motive,” “Supernatural,” “Continuum,” “iZombie,” “The 100,” “Once Upon a Time,” and “Smallville,” among many others.

DISNEY-INSPIRED DRINKS CREATED IN SPOKANE GO VIRAL
Cinderella is whipped cream vodka, blueberry vodka and cream. Maleficent is black vodka, grape schnapps and apple pucker. Tinkerbell is honey vodka, triple sec and sparkling cider, topped with a dusting of edible glitter.
“I always try to match the character to the look of the drink and the taste as much as possible,” says Cody Winfrey, whose cocktails inspired by Disney movie characters have found an insatiable audience of fans online.
Winfrey, 23, grew up during the tail end of the VCR-and-tape heyday of Disney’s animation revival, and he recalls spending time at his grandmother’s house, where she had the whole collection. He watched The Nightmare Before Christmas every day as a kid, and now has a tattoo of Maleficent, the villain in Sleeping Beauty, on his left arm.
“The great thing about Disney is that everyone has an almost spiritual connection with some character,” he says. “Everyone has a favorite movie, everyone has a favorite character, everyone has a favorite world. So I knew that it would resonate with people in some way.”
The idea started earlier this year as a way to set himself apart — and have fun — since he wasn’t having any luck blindly dropping off applications for bartending gigs here in Spokane.
He enlisted a friend, graphic designer Lindsey Wells, to help set up an online presence. Then at the beginning of February, his creations suddenly started getting attention around the web. The drinks were picked up by a well-read Disney-themed blog, and the popular (if not always PC) instructional web series Tipsy Bartender asked to feature several of his recipes. BuzzFeed got in touch and wrote a post headlined “29 Disney-Themed Cocktails You Need To Try ASAP.”
One of Winfrey’s Tumblr posts with new drinks drew more than 285,000 “notes” — the Tumblr measure for “likes” and re-blogs — and his Facebook page has more than 30,000 Likes. He’s received messages from around the world with suggestions and requests.
“It was a very exhausting first few days, because you can’t really prepare yourself for going viral,” he says.
Realizing his drinks might also attract the attention of Disney lawyers, Winfrey gave himself a crash course on the legal aspects and makes sure to always say he owns the drink recipes, not the characters. The e-book he’s finishing with Wells titles the recipes as “fairy tale” cocktails to avoid unnecessary trouble.
To date, he’s done about 40 Disney-inspired drinks, requiring an increasingly crowded personal collection of liquor bottles to have just the right ingredients on hand. Some movies have proved to be more challenging — The Lion King and Pocahontas, for example — so he’ll watch clips to see what he can pull from the color palette or characters’ personalities.
“Alice in Wonderland was also tough, because it’s such an abstract, out-there kind of movie that I wasn’t sure how to do the film justice with drinks,” he says.
Last week, his Mickey Mouse-inspired “Mouse Slide” — made with Oreo vodka, white chocolate liqueur, ice cream and Oreos for the ears — quickly became the most popular yet, with more than 2,000 Likes on Facebook.
Despite all the online success, Winfrey is still searching for bartending opportunities here in Spokane. In the meantime, he’s planning to move on to other pop culture themes that have been requested — videogames, Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, Star Wars — even though plenty of fans would like to see him create a drink for every single obscure movie and character in the Disney canon.

Michael Ian Black is a multi-media talent who’s starred in numerous films and TV series, written and/or directed two films, is a prolific author and commentator, and regularly tours the country performing his ribald brand of jokes and observations. He most recently starred in TVLand’s “The Gaffigan Show” and Comedy Central’s “Another Period.” He’s reprising one of his iconic film roles in the upcoming third season of the Netflix “Wet Hot American Summer” series. His third standup comedy special, “Noted Expert,” was released on Epix.
Black’s authored 11 books, including the recently released best seller, “A Child’s First Book of Trump.” He’s written two well-received memoirs: “Navel Gazing: True Tales of Bodies, Mostly Mine (but also my mom’s, which I know sounds weird)”, and “You’re Not Doing It Right: Tales of Marriage, Sex, Death and Other Humiliations.” In 2012, he collaborated with conservative Meghan McCain on “America, You Sexy Bitch: A Love Letter to Freedom.” He’s the author of “My Custom Van (and 50 Other Mind-Blowing Essays That Will Blow Your Mind All Over Your Face),” and seven children’s books, including “Cock-a-Doodle-Doo-Boop!,” “Naked”, “Chicken Cheeks,” “The Purple Kangaroo,” “A Pig Parade Is A Terrible Idea” and “I’m Bored.” He also writes book reviews for the New York Times.

Hitchcock is an Executive Producer and writer on the CW’s critically acclaimed comedy series “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” starring Golden Globe winner Rachel Bloom, co-created by Bloom and Aline Brosh-McKenna. He was previously a Co-Executive Producer and writer on the multi-award winning series “Glee.”
Hitchcock also currently appears as “Langston Aubrey” in the Netflix original comedy film “Mascots” directed by Christopher Guest. This is his fifth film for Guest, which include “Best in Show,” “Waiting for Guffman,” “A Mighty Wind,” and “For Your Consideration.”

Hitchcock has performed comedy improvisation at several United States military bases in Iraq, Kuwait, Cuba, Houndras, and Africa with “Stars for Stripes,” a volunteer organization that brings entertainment to deployed troops. He resides in Los Angeles.

Susan Wokoma – British actress and writer Susan Wokoma is one of the most brilliant and interesting young actors working today. Having already established a diverse and award winning body of work in her short career.
In January, Susan reprised the role of eccentric ‘Cynthia’ in the second series of BAFTA Award winning Chewing Gum for Channel 4. The first series of Chewing Gum, a British television sitcom series set in London, debuted on E4 in October 2015. Written by and starring Michaela Coel, Robert Lonsdale, Danielle Walters and Tanya Franks, the show centers on Beyoncé obsessed ‘Tracey Gordon’, a religious, 24-year-old shop assistant, who wants to and learn more about the world.
In October last year, Susan starred in six-part comedic horror series Crazyhead, a new series from Misfits creator Howard Overman. The dark comedy, developed by Urban Myth Films for Channel 4 in association with Netflix, is a funny and gripping programme about friendship, love and facing your demons. It follows an unlikely duo of demon hunters – Susan played ‘Raquel’, opposite Cara Theobold, a self-made demon hunter with a whole lot of baggage and an impressive lack of social skills. The cast also includes Riann Steele, Lewis, Arinze Kene and Tony Curran, and Crazy Face was broadcast on E4 in the UK and was launched on Netflix globally in December.
Also in October, Susan appeared as ‘Megan’, alongside a fantastic young British cast, including Laura Carmichael, Chloe Pirrie, Jack Farthing and Joe Dempsie, in the melancholic comedy Burn Burn Burn. The independent feature was director Chanya Button’s debut and follows two best friends as they travel across the U.K spreading the ashes of their recently deceased friend. The feature was nominated for the ‘Raindance’ Award at The British Independent Film Awards and was nominated in the category of ‘Best Film’ at the London Film Festival, both in 2015, and won awards from the LOCO Film Festival, Cinema City, Odessa International Film Festival and Umberside Cinema ahead of its UK theatrical release on 28th October. The feature was distributed globally by Netflix later in November.
In April 2014, Susan made her film debut as ‘Amala’ and alongside Chiwetel Ejiofor, Thandie Newton, Anika Noni Rose and John Boyega, in Biyi Bandele’s adaptation of Half of a Yellow Sun. The feature, based on the novel by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichi, tells the tale of two sisters after they return to Nigeria right before outbreak of the 1960 Nigerian Civil War. In August 2014, Susan took on the role of ‘Della’ in The Inbetweeners 2, the box office friendly sequel of 2011 hit film, The Inbetweeners Movie. Set in Australia, the British comedy revisits the four main characters from the original as they travel to Australia for the ultimate lads’ holiday. The film became the highest grossing British film in the UK in 2014.
In 2006, Susan made her feature film debut as ‘Marie’ in the BAFTA Award-winning fictionalized documentary, That Summer Day. The special follows the lives of six school children on the day of the 7/7 London bombings in 2005. Using archived news footage, the programme was created in response to concerns about how London’s children were coping with the events of that day. The programme aired on BBC Two one year later. Susan’s other on-screen credits include ‘Jess Manning’ in the 2015 BAFTA Craft nominated BBC film The Last Hours of Laura K; ‘Lance ‘Corporal Jasmine Jaspers’ in the third season of the BBC Three’s TV series Bluestone 42 in 2015 and, a role in the TV series Uncle, also on BBC Three in the same year. She also played ‘Jessica’ in Crashing, Channel 4’s six-part British comedy, broadcast in January 2016; ‘Doctor Sensible’ in ITV’s Horrible Science; ‘Daisy’ in Hotel Trubble (2011), and ‘Roz’ in Howard Overman’s cult hit series Misfits (2013).
Her theatre work includes productions at the Royal Court, Bush Theatre, Almeida, and The Royal National Theatre. Susan also joined the New York transfers of Phyllida Lloyd’s all female Donmar Warehouse productions of Henry IV and Julius Caesar at St. Ann’s Warehouse in 2014.
Susan is currently involved in developing new comedies with Objective, 2LE Media and Lucky Giant, and also writing her own comedy series Fix You as a writer/performer with Cave Bear Productions.
In 2016, Susan won Best Supporting Actor at the BBC Audio Drama Awards for her performance in the radio adaptation of Marie NDiaye’s Three Strong Women. She was a member of The National Youth Theatre as a teenager before going on to train at RADA.

Nico Stagias is a Toronto based filmmaker who has worked as a Director, DOP, Producer and Editor in television for the last 14 years.
His education includes an MFA degree in Film Production at the University
of British Columbia in Directing and an Honour’s BA in Communication Studies at Concordia University. He also studied at San Francisco State University in cinematography and lighting.
Nico has developed and produced two TV series and 2 stand-alone documentaries. These titles include I’m a Stripper, PopPorn, Balls and Studlebrity.
Nico is also an award winning filmmaker. He won the award for Best Artistic Achievement in a short film at the Inside Out Film Festival for “How to Lose a Guy” (2003) and “Recollect” (2004). “How to Lose a Guy” also won Best Audience Choice award at the Oregon Queer Film Festival.
At the 2007 DORA Awards “TimeCode Break” won the award for Best Production. Nico created all the visual elements for this show.
In 2008 he was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award as editor for the documentary “Christopher House: Ahead the Curve”.
Nico directed, produced, shot and edited over 20 promotional commercials for Nickelodeon TV. This campaign, which was shot in India, Malaysia and the Philippines, won two Silver ProMax awards for Best Campaign and Best Comedic Campaign.

Richard has worked in insurance in London, where he also co-produced the original ‘SHOUT!’ at the Jermyn Street Theatre, and totally by accident began to event & wedding plan when the UK changed its marriage laws. His first time working in TV was as one half of “Ant and Dick” co-hosting a wedding challenge show on the old Wedding TV Network. Tovah Feldshuh portrays Mrs. Bunch, Rachel’s domineering mother, on the CW awardwinning musical series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, which was recently renewed for a third season. Ms. Feldshuh is widely known for her starring turn as Deanna, the head of Alexandria, on AMC’s hit series The Walking Dead. Prior to that, she recurred on the Starz’ ballet series Flesh and Bone as ballet master Ivana. Ms. Feldshuh received her first Emmy nomination for Helena, the Czech freedom fighter, in the NBC mini-series Holocaust, and her second nomination for her continuing role as defense attorney Danielle Melnick on NBC’s Law & Order, a role she recently reprised for Chicago Justice. Ms. Feldshuh starred opposite Tommy Lee Jones in The Amazing Howard Hughes, James Woods in Citizen Cohn, Bill Cosby on The Cosby Mysteries and The Cosby Show, Richard Dreyfuss in The Education of Max Bickford, Piper Perabo in Covert Affairs, America Ferrara in Ugly Betty, and in The Good Wife, with Julianna Margulies, among others.

BRANDON STANSELL is a fresh face onto the Country Music scene, but has always been nearby; honing his craft and finding his voice. SLOW DOWN, co-written with Mylen and the title track off his new EP, is the epicenter of his "California Country" sound with the raw emotion of those first moments in a budding relationship. SLOW DOWN was produced by Nashville-based producer, writer, and guitarist Erik Halbig. Stansell met Erik a few years ago through friend, Ty Herndon, who is featured on the track.
While his casual country sound is appealing, there is more that meets the eye with this crooner of Nashville roots. He is navigating the path of an openly-gay Country Artist. Brandon, while not the first to chart these waters, is one of few people in the industry willing to lay everything out for the listener and the result is an honest, beautiful musical experience.

Glenn Douglas Packard was born the eldest of three in Detroit, MI to Roger and Paulette Packard. When Glenn was 5 years old, his father convinced the family to pack up all their belongings and move to a run-down farm in Michigan, where Roger saw a potential future in the dairy business. As Glenn was growing up into adolescence and the farm grew profitable, he began working in the family business in Clare, MI. Eventually, Glenn went on to study Dairy Management at Michigan State University. On one of his vacation trips back home, he suffered a horrible accident with a 4-wheeler. With a compound factor to his right tibia and fibula leg, his doctors insisted the only option was to amputate his leg from the knee down. After months of fighting the infection, which had spread through his entire body, due to the open wound, countless surgeries and a steel rod places in his leg, Glenn had to relearn how to walk. He made a promise to himself that if, and when, he fully recovered, he would do the one thing he had dreamt of all his life; to dance and entertain.
While at 21, where most dancers are already experienced, Glenn was just walking into his first dance class. Within 2 years he was accepted into the scholarship program of the highly acclaimed Alvin Ailey School of Dance in New York City. Fast forward 10 years later, after being dubbed "Dancing entrepreneur" by The New York Times, Glenn is one of the most sought after dancer/artist directors and choreographers in the city. His multi-dimensional & innovative work made him an international commanding force in the entertainment industry. Providing a wide spectrum of styles, he has been celebrated for casting and choreographing such projects as Whitney Houston's All-Star Gala, featuring powerhouse artists like P!nk, Deborah Cox, & Brian McKnight, and A Miracle On 34th Street, performed at the world famous Madison Square Garden with numerous artists.
Creative control was entrusted to Glenn by The 2001 GLAAD awards, the American Cinema Awards, reinventing the Chippendales show in Vegas along with their USA & world tour, Giants Half Time Show, the New York City Knicks, Miami Heat Dancers, and the Premios Awards working with the biggest artist in Latin Music like Ricky Martin, Prince Royce, Daddy Yankee, Carlos Vives, Marc Anthony, Fanny Lu, Chino Y Nacho.
Along with the Latin market take over, Glenn is also known internationally, working on the King of Morocco's New Year's Eve Gala and in Bollywood for his groundbreaking choreography in the film, "Rhythm." Other films like Little Hercules in 3D, Dancing on the Edge, and feature as one of the top choreographers in the documentary MOVE: The Film.
His music video work is a spectrum of artist like Brooke Hogan "Everything to Me", Daddy Yankee & Price Royce "Ven Conmigo", Timbland "Not All About The Money", Fanny Lu "Ni Loca" & his very own music video "Love Dance" featuring the talent Beu Sisters. Glenn even has his own instructional dance DVD called "Everyone Moves".
Glenn's work had sparked a interest in the King of Pop himself Michael Jackson, and he was asked to be the choreographer for the Television major event, Michael Jackson's 30th Anniversary Celebration which Glenn worked along side industry greats like Usher, Liza, Destiny Child, Jill Scott, Missy Elliot, Gloria Gaynor, Al Jarreau, Britney Spears, NSync, Mya, Monica, & MJ himself, all artist came together to perform Michael Jackson songs, Michael was reunited with his brothers, the Jackson 5 for the first time in 20 years, & Michael performed for his last time his iconic songs. Glenn was honored with Emmy Award Nomination for Outstanding Choreography in Television.
As seen on the cover do Dance Spirit Magazine & acknowledged in Dance & Fitness Magazine, Glenn offer classes at NYC Broadway Dance Center, which were booked to capacity with a who's-who of dance. Around the early 2000's, Glenn moved to Florida under the wing of Lou Pearlman, who, at the time, was owner of the Chippendales and creator of the boyband era with NSync, Backstreet Boys, and Otown. Glenn was part of a european boyband called twONEty, through Pearlman's camp, Glenn was introduced to Hulk Hogan's teenaged daughter, Brooke Hogan. The two quickly ignited a friendship with Glenn becoming a mentor for Brooke. Through this mentor/friend role, Glenn was then asked to join Brooke in a VH-1 television docu-series called VH1 Brooke Knows Best. For two seasons he costarred as Brooke's outgoing, gay best friend/roommate.
This open a whole new world to becoming a face in the LGBT entertainment industry, giving lectures for the Bully Academy along with countless radio, tv appearances and covers of LGBT magazines. Quickly becoming "EVERYONE'S GBFF."
Glenn being no stranger to Television had worked on The Rupaul Show, Saturday Night Live, E! True Hollywood Story, Grachi, Miss USA, and HBO. Along with jumping on the pop culture of reality TV, with such shows as VH1 Hogan Knows Best, VH1 Mission Manband, and is the creator, producer, choreographer, and creative director of the E! Network movie event Men Of The Strip.
Glenn is also president of other companies he created such as The Untouchables-Miami elite dance troupe, The Knockouts-a sexy pop burlesque girl group, Boots N Boys-the 1st all-gay male revue, Tattooed Angels-a multi media company & GDP Wear-his trendsetting clothing line.

Margaret Cho was born Dec. 5, 1968 and raised in San Francisco. “It was different than any other place on Earth,” she says. “I grew up and went to grammar school on Haight Street during the ’70s. There were old hippies, ex-druggies, burnouts, drag queens, and Chinese people. To say it was a melting pot – that’s the least of it. It was a really confusing, enlightening, wonderful time.”
Ignoring the traditions of her patriarchal culture, her mother bravely resisted an arranged marriage in Korea and married Margaret’s father a Korean joke book writer. “Books like 1001 Jokes for Public Speakers – real corny stuff,” Cho says. “I guess we’re in the same line of work. But we don’t understand each other that way. I don’t understand why the things he says are funny and the same for him.”
What Margaret did know is that being a kid was hard. Racing toward adulthood as fast as she could to escape the constant bullying she endured, Margaret began writing jokes at 14 and professionally performing at age 16. Getting picked on, and not having a feeling of belonging, is a subject that’s not only near to Margaret’s heart, but something she still feels very deeply despite all of her successes. In that sense, Margaret has gladly and graciously become the “Patron Saint for Outsiders,” speaking for those who are not able to speak for themselves, and encouraging people who can to use their voice to promote change.
Soon after starting her Stand Up career, Margaret won a comedy contest where first prize was opening for Jerry Seinfeld. She moved to Los Angeles in the early ’90s and, still in her early twenties, hit the college circuit, where she immediately became the most booked act in the market and garnered a nomination for “Campus Comedian of The Year.” She performed over 300 concerts within two years. Arsenio Hall introduced her to late night audiences, Bob Hope put her on a prime time special and, seemingly overnight, Margaret Cho became a national celebrity.
Her groundbreaking, controversial, and short-lived ABC sitcom, All-American Girl (1994) soon followed. Oddly, while chosen because of who she was – a non-conformist Korean American woman with liberal views – the powers-that-be decided they preferred for Margaret to “tone it down” for the show. She soon realized that though she was an Executive Producer, this would be a battle she could not win. “For fear of being too “ethnic,” the show got so watered down for television that by the end, it was completely lacking in the essence of what I wanted to accomplish.”
The experience was a traumatic one, bringing up unresolved feelings left over from childhood, and Margaret developed an eating disorder as a response to criticism about her body. She was so obsessive in her goal to try to be what she thought others wanted, that she landed in the hospital with kidney failure. Through out this period of self-abuse, Margaret continued performing to sold-out audiences in comedy clubs, theaters, and college campuses, working to channel her anger in to something more positive.
In 1999, her groundbreaking, off Broadway one-woman show, I’m The One That I Want, toured the country to national acclaim and was made into a best-selling book and feature film of the same name. After her experience with All-American Girl, Margaret wanted to make sure she would only ever have to answer to herself, putting herself in charge of the distribution and sales of her film, which garnered incredible reviews and broke records for ‘Most Money Grossed per Print’. In 2001, after the success of her first tour, Maragaret launched Notorious C.H.O., a smash-hit 37-city national tour that culminated in a sold-out concert at Carnegie Hall. Notorious C.H.O., hailed by the New York Times as “Brilliant,” was recorded and released as a feature film. Both films were acquired by Showtime, and produced by Margaret’s production company, a testament to the success of Margaret’s business model.
In March of 2003, Margaret embarked on her third sold-out national tour, Revolution. It was heralded by the Chicago Sun Times as “Her strongest show yet” and the CD recording was nominated for a Grammy for Comedy Album of the Year. In 2005, she released Assassin, with The Chicago Tribune stating “(Assassin) packs passion in to each punch.” The concert film premiered in select theatres and on the gay and lesbian premium channel Here! TV.
In 2007, Margaret hit the road with Cyndi Lauper, Debbie Harry and Erasure, along with indie faves The Dresden Dolls and The Cliks, to host the True Colors Tour, benefiting the Human Rights Campaign. An entertainment pioneer, Margaret also created and starred in The Sensuous Woman, a live variety show featuring vaudevillian burlesque and comedy, which she took for an extended off-Broadway run in the fall.
Margaret returned to TV in 2008 with the VH1 series, The Cho Show. Describing it as a ‘reality sitcom,’ Margaret said at the time, “It’s the closest I’ve been able to come on television to what I do as a comic.” The Cho Show followed Margaret, her real parents, and her eccentric entourage through a series of bold and outrageous experiences, shaped by Margaret’s ‘anything goes’ brand of stand-up.
The aptly titled Beautiful came next, exploring the good, bad and ugly in beauty, and the marketers who shape our world. The concert premiered in Australia at The Sydney Theater, marking the first time Margaret debuted a tour abroad. While touring through the US, the concert was filmed at the Long Beach theatre, aired as a special on Showtime in 2009, and then released as both a DVD and a book.
In 2009 Margaret nabbed a starring role in the comedy/drama series Drop Dead Diva, which aired for six seasons on the Lifetime network. Margaret enjoyed not having the sole responsibility for keeping things afloat. “(Drop Dead Diva) was a very fulfilling experience. It let me taking about the things I talk about, like body image, and women feeling good about themselves.”
Never one to shy away from a challenge, Margaret stepped right up to the plate when asked to do Season 11 of the highly- rated Dancing with the Stars. Paired with pro Louie Van Amstel, Margaret was on the show’s most controversial seasons. Margaret got a very strong reaction to her Rainbow Dancing Dress during a time when the issue of bullying, especially among gay teens, was being heavily covered in the media. “I am very proud to have been able to wear a gay pride dress on a show that is so conservative.”
2010 culminated with another high honor, a second Grammy Award nomination for Comedy Album of the Year for Cho Dependent, her incredibly funny collection of music. Featuring collaborations with Fiona Apple, Andrew Bird, Grant Lee Phillips, Tegan & Sara, Ben Lee and more, the album received critical acclaim. The album is funny, but also quite musical, featuring not only her surprisingly strong singing voice, but her skill on the guitar, banjo and dulcimer. “I was inspired to make beautiful music with a comic edge. I took this very seriously, taking vocal and guitar lessons while I was touring.”
Margaret self released Cho Dependent on her own Clownery Records, and was encouraged by the acclaim, since there are only a handful of artists putting out true albums of comedy music – “Weird” Al Yankovic, Flight of the Conchords, The Lonely Island, to name a few – yet no women. In 2011, Margaret released the live concert film of Cho Dependent, which also had its cable network debut on Showtime. Shot at the Tabernacle in Atlanta, GA, she remained uncensored, with a characteristically no-holds-barred show.
In 2012, Margaret spent whatever free time she had crafting her all new standup show, the uproariously and aptly named MOTHER, which kicked off with both a US and European tour. According to Margaret, “MOTHER offers up an untraditional look at motherhood and how we look at maternal figures and strong women in queer culture.”
Margaret’s creative side moved ahead at full speed with an Emmy nomination for “Best Guest Performance” on Thirty Rock. After the death of her mentor, Robin Williams, overwhelmed her, a mutual friend told her not to grieve Robin, but to ‘Be Robin’. The hashtag #BeRobin was born, as Margaret began setting up shop in different places around San Francisco in an effort to raise money for the Homeless community. “All I do and create a distraction – comedy and music – for several hours and collect goods and donations for people who need them.” The GoFundMe page Margaret set up [at http://GoFundMe.com/BeRobin ] has raised over $20,000.00 in donations.
In 2015, Margaret was one of the hosts of TLC’s All About SEX, a late night call-in talk show with Margaret covering sex toys and alternative sexuality. “I wanted to remove the stigma of women not only buying sex toys, but experimenting with what makes them feel good.”
2015 also brought Margaret back to the stand up stage, where she filmed her Showtime special/DVD psyCHO at the historic Gramercy Theatre in New York City. Called “wildly kinetic” by the New York Times, psyCHO “Is about insanity, about the anger I feel about everything happening in the world, from police brutality to racism to the rising tide of violence against women.” In keeping with the show’s theme, the artwork, a portrait she commissioned from artist Vincent Castiglia made entirely of her own blood.
There’s no break for Margaret in 2016: The three-time Grammy and Emmy nominee will release her next studio album, American Myth, on April 29th on her Clownery label. The follow up to Cho Dependent, it’s the first collection of new music from Margaret in 6 years. She has already debuted three music videos: “Ron’s Got a DUI” [https://goo.gl/8j3SgH], “Fat Pussy” [https://goo.gl/B6rfER] and the song that set the Internet on its ass (take that, Kardashians), “(I Want To) Kill My Rapist” [https://goo.gl/SMuKhA]. Salon magazine called the song “A new anthem” and UK’s The Guardian reminded anyone who was offended that “Cho is famed for her boldness, her taboo-breaking humour.” Margaret spoke to Billboard about the song saying, “I’m a victim, and now a survivor, of sexual abuse and rape, and I think it’s really hard to talk about it. I think having a song to perform live will allow others to talk about it. It’s a huge issue, and this was cathartic for me.”
American Myth, made with her longtime collaborator Garrison Starr, also showcases Margaret’s first efforts as a composer. Margaret says the album is “my glamorous and glittering tribute to family, comedy, anger, fame, gayness, grief, fat pride, love and hate.”
In what is a fitting tribute, Margaret has also been named special co-host of E!’s Fashion Police, covering the biggest award shows of 2016. Since Joan Rivers was not only a friend, but also a vocal supporter of Margaret, this has a unique significance. “Although I am not quite a fashionista, I would love to look at it like I am changing it up – Fashion Police: Special Victims Unit. It makes me happiest to spend time with Melissa (Rivers), and when I see her laugh at my jokes, I feel like Joan is smiling.”
And in typical “go-go-go” style, Margaret has signed on to develop a “Highland,” a dramedy for Amazon. The hour long show follows Margaret, who after court-0rdered rehab, gets a chance to start over by moving in with her (dysfunctional) family who run a pot dispensary. Co-created by Margaret and writer Liz Sarnoff (“Deadwood,” “Lost,” “Alcatraz”) Margaret is set to star and executive produce as well.
With so much success in her artistic life, Margaret has never turned away from the causes that are important to her. She is incredibly active in anti-racism, anti-bullying, advocating for the homeless and gay rights campaigns, and has been recognized for her unwavering dedication. She was the recipient of the Victory Fund’s Leadership Award and the first-ever Best Comedy Performance Award at the 2007 Asian Excellence Awards. She also received the First Amendment Award from the ACLU of Southern California, and the Intrepid Award from the National Organization for Women (NOW). Margaret has been honored by GLAAD, American Women in Radio and Television, the Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund, the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force (NGLTF), the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund (AALDEF), PFLAG and LA Pride, who gave Margaret a Lifetime Achievement Award for leaving a lasting imprint on the LGBT community.
Through her hard work, Margaret has had the opportunity to be heard, to extend her point of view and become regarded as a true pioneer in her field. She takes none of it for granted. “It’s a wonderful thing to be known as a ‘safe haven’ for people. People come to see me, or buy my records and/or DVDs because my point of view satisfies a lot of what needs to be said out there. More than anything, that makes me really proud.”

OBIE and Drama Desk winner Donna Lynne Champlin graduated with high honors from Carnegie Mellon University in 1993. A Princess Grace Foundation award winner and a Presidential Scholar in the Arts, she also received intensive training in Shakespeare and Chekhov at Oxford University on the Advanced Acting Scholarship and The Vira I. Heinz Grant to study abroad. While still in college, she received her Equity card starring as “Dorothy” in The Wizard of Oz with the celebrated Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera.
Champlin made her New York Debut in 1994 at Carnegie Hall starring as “May” in a concert version of Very Warm for May under the direction of acclaimed conductor John McGlinn. Her Broadway debut in 2000 as “Mary Jane” in James Joyce’s The Dead was quickly followed by another Broadway turn as “Honoria Glossop” in the Alan Ayckbourn/Andrew Lloyd Webber musical By Jeeves in 2001. In 2002, came the opportunity to work with Carol Burnett and Hal Prince in Broadway’s Hollywood Arms – the dramatization of Carol’s biography One More Time, in which Champlin played the iconic comedienne. Critics across the country proclaimed Champlin a “show-stopping star in the making” and described her performance as “brilliant”, “a triumph”, and “a tour de force.”
Next on Broadway, Champlin played “Pirelli” (and the accordion, flute and piano) in the groundbreaking 2005 revival of Sweeney Todd where the press called her both “hilarious” and “superb”. She then joined the Broadway company of Billy Elliot as “Lesley” in 2009 and simultaneously self-produced her solo debut CD “Old Friends” which was voted “One of the Best Ten Albums of 2009” and was hailed by critics as “brilliant”, “a masterpiece” and “breath taking”. She can also be heard on numerous cast albums including See Rock City, Sweeney Todd, By Jeeves, three and My Life With Albertine as well as many voice-overs.
Her film credits include Birdman, A Secret Promise, The Audition, The Dark Half, By Jeeves, and Sweet Surrender. And while her TV credits include The Good Wife, Law And Order, Mother’s Day, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, The Annual Tony Awards on CBS, The View (guest star), The Rosie O’Donnell Show, Regis and Kelly and Emily Dickinson of the PBS Voices and Visions series, she is perhaps most well known for her work as the caustic “Kim Gifford’ on the hit web-series Submissions Only.
Off Broadway, her performance as “Cora Flood” in the 2009 production of The Dark At The Top of the Stairs at The Transport Group (hailed by the NY press as “perfection”, “brilliant” and “a privilege to watch”), earned her the prestigious OBIE award. DL went on to win the 2013 Drama Desk Award for her performance as “Woman #3” in Working, The Musical at the Prospect Theatre and the NYMF Award for “Outstanding Performance” for not one but three separate productions including as “Jane Austen” in Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. Other favorite Off-Broadway credits include “Audrey” opposite Oliver Platt’s “Touchstone” in Shakespeare In The Park’s As You Like It and “Sophie” in Master Class opposite Edie Falco at the Broadhurst produced by the Metropolitan Opera.
Champlin also continues to perform her critically acclaimed one-woman show Finishing The Hat in NYC (SRO at Birdland, Ars Nova and The Laurie Beechman Theatres) and across the country while teaching master classes in acting at many prestigious colleges such as CMU, Hartt and NYU. Also of particular importance to Champlin is her fundraising for three of her favorite charitable organizations, BC-EFA, the ALSA and The Actors’ Fund.
In addition to being an actress, Donna Lynne also works as a director, writer, stand-up comedienne, pianist, composer, musical director and choreographer. A free-lance writer for Comedy Central, she is currently working on two books; a humorous non-fiction book inspired by her (mis)adventures in the theatre and the other a ‘how-to of comedy’.
Donna Lynne lives in New York City with her husband, actor Andrew Arrow and her son, Charlie.

INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup Pinnacle Whipped Vodka
1/2 cup Pinnacle Vanilla Vodka
1 cup of pineapple juice
Grenadine
Maraschino cherries
crushed ice (about a cup)
INSTRUCTIONS
Put crushed ice in shaker
Add vodka and pineapple juice to shaker
Shake away
Put a maraschino cherry in the bottom of martini glass
Strain vodka/pineapple mixture into martini glass
Slowly pour a splash of grenadine down the side of the martini glass

In 2015, Gary also recreated the legendary John Carlos “Black Power Salute” which can now be seen at the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington D.C. In 2016, through hard work and consistency, Gary has landed principal and supporting roles in short, independent and mainstream films and television shows such as Ambivalence, RAYE, Products of the American Ghetto, the highly successful LGBT streaming series, About Him (Season 1), TV One’s “#Murder”, OWN Network’s “Greenleaf”, BET’s “The Quad”, Fast8 & ArtHouse TV’s highly anticipated series, “REDSKIN”. 2017 will be an even bigger year with production starting for About Him Season 2: The Revolution, where Gary returns in his leading role starring an all-star cast. Gloria Calderon Kellett is a producer and writer, known for One Day at a Time (2017), How I Met Your Mother (2005) and Drunk History (2013). She has been married to Dave Kellett since February 24, 2001.
Gloria Calderón Kellett is currently a writer and Supervising producer on the CW series “iZombie.” Before that she was on ABC’s “Mixology”, the Lifetime series “Devious Maids, the CBS series “Rules of Engagement” (2008-2011) and “How I Met Your Mother” (2005-2008) during which she won an Alma Award for Outstanding Script. She is a graduate of the Writer’s Guild Showrunner Training Program and has sold pilots to Fox, ABC Studios, CBS and TVLAND.
Her first short film, “Wounded,” was an official selection in the Geneva Film Festival, the Palm Springs Shorts Fest, the Sedona Film Fest, the Gig Harbor Film Festival and the Big Island Film Festival. Her second short, “Very Dirty Things” was an official selection in the LA Comedy Film Festival. And her third short film “BLIND” was an official selection in the NBC/Universal Short Cuts Film Fest, the Napa Valley Film Festival, The San Luis Obispo Film Festival and the Big Island Film Festival.

Gloria went on to earn a Masters degree in Theatre from the University of London. Her play, “When Words Are Many,” was a finalist for the London Writers Award. Additionally, her play, “Dance Like No One’s Looking,” won the International Student Playscript Competition, judged and awarded by Sir Alan Ayckbourn. While in London, she worked at the Royal Court Theater and the London International Festival of Theatre.
Since her return to Los Angeles, Gloria has been a founding member of the sketch comedy group And Donkey Makes Five, and has written and performed stand-up comedy at The Improv and The Comedy Store. Her book, Accessories, has been translated into Italian and is published by Small Fish Studios in the U.S. and Cassini Press in Italy. In her free time she teaches and lectures about writing (Loyola Marymount University, University of Miami, Imagen Foundation panelist, CBS Diversity program special guest) and on occasion she acts.

Hal Sparks currently stars as ‘Donald Davenport’, on the hit Disney XD live-action comedy series “Lab Rats.” Since the show’s premiere in 2012, ‘Lab Rats” has been the network’s most watched program. The show has been added to the Disney Channel’s regular line-up garnering more fans and ratings than ever projected.
Sparks, who was born and raised in Kentucky, began his career in comedy as a member of the famed Second City Troupe in Chicago, where he was named “Funniest Teenager in Chicago” by the Chicago Sun Times. Del Shores – Writer/Director/Producer Del Shores has written, directed and produced successfully across studio and independent film, network and cable television and regional and national touring theatre. Shores’ career began with the play Daddy’s Dyin’ (Who’s Got The Will?) in 1987. The play has been produced in over 2,500 theatres worldwide. A movie version was released in 1990 starring Beau Bridges, Tess Harper, Judge Reinhold, Keith Carradine and Beverly D’Angelo. Shores wrote the screenplay and executive produced the film.
Sordid Lives the play opened in 1996, and in 1999 Shores wrote and directed the film version starring Beau Bridges, Delta Burke, Olivia Newton-John, Bonnie Bedelia, Leslie Jordan and Beth Grant. The film took in nearly two million dollars in its eight theatre limited release and became the longest running film in the history of Palm Springs with a record ninety-six weeks. The movie won six Best Feature and thirteen Audience Awards at film festivals. The DVD has now sold over 300,000 units and the 2014 re-release recently became a top-seller for Wolfe Video.
His play Southern Baptist Sissies followed, with a ten-month, sold-out run in 2000 and 2002. Shores received multiple Best Direction and Best Writing awards, and the play won the GLAAD Award for Outstanding Production of the Year. In 2003, The Trials and Tribulations of a Trailer Trash Housewife won the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle’s Ted Schmitt Award for Best World Premiere of an Outstanding New Play and five Back Stage West Garland Awards, two NAACP Awards, an LA Stage Alliance Ovation and three LA Weekly Awards. In 2006, Shores revived Sordid Lives, Southern Baptist Sissies and The Trials and Tribulations of a Trailer Trash Housewife in Los Angeles before a successful six city national tour, starring Delta Burke and Leslie Jordan, which played in 1000-1700 seat houses.
Sordid Lives: The Series premiered on Viacom’s LOGO network in 2008 starring Olivia Newton-John, Rue McClanahan, Leslie Jordan, Bonnie Bedelia and Caroline Rhea. Shores created, wrote, directed and executive produced all twelve episodes. The series was distributed internationally in syndication in seventeen countries. Shores has written and produced in television including Dharma and Greg and Queer as Folk. He also wrote, directed and produced the Showtime movie The Wilde Girls.
In 2010, Shores’ newest play Yellow opened winning various Los Angeles theatre awards including Best World Premiere, Best Production, Best Direction for Del Shores himself (Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle, Backstage Garland, LA Weekly, Broadway World.) Emerson Collins – Producer/“Billy Joe Dobson” Emerson Collins is an actor, producer and TV personality. Emerson starred for four seasons on BRAVO’s The People’s Couch. He produced and starred in Southern Baptist Sissies and won Best Actor in a Feature Film from the Red Dirt International Film Festival. In 2015, Emerson starred in the regional theatre premiere of the one-man show “Buyer & Cellar” in Palm Springs, winning the Desert Theatre League Award for Best Actor in a Comedy. He reprised the role with the acclaimed Laguna Beach Playhouse in 2016. With Del Shores, Emerson co-hosted “The Del & Emerson Show,” UBN Radio’s number one podcast for two years. Emerson co-produced Sordid Lives: The Series for LOGO and produced the New York City, Los Angeles and Palm Springs premieres of the series in conjunction with The Trevor Project, Cinema Diverse and Outfest.

Synopsis: A VERY SORDID WEDDING It’s 2015, seventeen years after Peggy tripped over G.W.’s wooden legs and died in Sordid Lives, and life has moved into the present for the residents of Winters, Texas. Sissy Hickey (Dale Dickey) is reading the Bible, cover to cover, trying to make some kind of sense out of what it really says about gay people. Her niece Latrelle Williamson (Bonnie Bedelia) has divorced her husband Wilson (Michael MacRae) who has taken up with a hot young gold digger. Latrelle’s now out and proud gay son Ty (Kirk Geiger) is on his way back to town with his black man and news of their own. Her sister LaVonda (Ann Walker) is still cussin’ and drankin’ and is being blackmailed to sit with the sick and afflicted. LaVonda’s best friend Noleta (Caroline Rhea) meets a hot younger man while visiting her awful mama in the hospital. G.W. (David Steen), sporting new fiberglass legs after Noleta burned his old ones, is still feeling guilty and mourning Peggy. Nearly incoherent barfly Juanita (Sarah Hunley) has moved from her obsession with Vacation Bible School roosters to the royal family while Wardell (Newell Alexander) and Odell (David Cowgill) still bicker at the bar. Tammy Wynette champion Brother Boy (Leslie Jordan) hasn’t been back to Winters since Peggy’s funeral, and he’s working at a tragic little gay bar in Longview, having added Loretta and Dolly to his new medley act “We Three Queens of Oper-y Are” till a chance meeting with a dangerous criminal forces him out on the run. As the sordid saga continues, an anniversary memorial service is being planned in honor of Peggy at Bubba’s Bar while the Southside Baptist Church is planning an “Anti-Equality Rally” to protest the advancement of same-sex marriage, spearheaded by Vera Lisso (Lorna Scott) and Mrs. Barnes (Sharon Garrison). “IN THE DOLLHOUSE WITH LINA” RETURNS FOR ITS SECOND SEASON THE MAGIC 8 BALL BRINGS BACK YOUTUBE’S WILDEST TALK SHOW STARRING LINA BRADFORD AND HER COLLECTION OF BARBIES
In The Dollhouse With Lina, the rollicking YouTube show hosted by the spirited House Music DJ diva Lina Bradford, returns for its second season this month. In the show, Lina’s quick wit (known as “Linish”…yes, she has her own language) and infectious smile take center stage as she discusses music, fashion and pop culture with her celebrity friends. In season one, her magic 8 ball transported Carson Kressley, Robert Verdi and Bevy Smith (host of “Bevelations” on Andy Cohen’s Radio Andy) into the dollhouse. Season Two will welcome guests like Candis Cayne, NY Real Housewife and Home Shopping Network jewelry designer Kelly Killoren Bensimon and Whoopi Goldberg. Each episode is shot in Lina Bradford’s Barbie doll room — she has over 600 pint-sized mannequins — and includes hilarious segments like the fan-favorite “Asian Fortune Cookie Kiki” where celebs play the Origami Paper Game with Lina, answering questions no one else would dare to ask.
“The wonderful part about doing a talk show is I get to be my fun, goofball self while doing the two things I most enjoy: learning more about the interesting personalities I adore and making people happy,” says Lina Bradford from The Dollhouse studios in New York. “What more could I ask for from a job?”
Lina Bradford grew up as an only child in New York City, across the street from Carnegie Hall. Without siblings, she would spend most of her days alone with only her wild imagination to keep her company. “I would put my Barbies in the craziest scenarios,” she remembers. “Whether they were fighting crime, sailing the French Riviera, or running high powered executive meetings in the boardroom, they always did it with glamour and style.”
Lina’s career in entertainment began early. She studied dance for ten and a half years, performing modern ballet, tap and jazz in several companies throughout New York. The moves she learned would become part of her signature style when, twenty years ago, she left the dance stage for the dance floor, spinning records all over New York and Europe. She would become best known for her ten-year run on Fire Island. Lina currently holds a once-a-month residency Party TBS (Throwback Sundays) at NYC’s The Gilded Lily. “I enjoyed a very strong upbringing from very well rounded intelligent Aries women who were all true Rams,” she continues. “They taught me to be confident in who I am.” Lina Bradford is a trans woman but she does not define herself by it. “I’ve never done labels. I’ve only worn them,” she says. People are drawn to Lina because of the essence she projects, one of love and light. “I’m an Aries. I’m optimistic and I love a challenge.”
While In The Dollhouse, Lina enjoys bringing out new sides of her guests that fans don’t normally get a chance to see. With Candis Cayne, she reminisces about growing up together in the legendary nineties New York scene. In her interview with Janet Mock, a transgender rights activist and author of the New York Times bestseller “Redefining Realness”, Lina manages to tap into Mock’s edge-y comedic side. “People tend to think Janet is always very straightforward and serious but in my interview, viewers will witness a wicked sense of humor!”

Isabella Gomez was born in Medellin, Colombia where she was raised. She grew up an only child surrounded by older kids and adults, making her an outgoing little girl. Isabella loved to be the center of attention from an early age and would make friends wherever she went, from school to waiting rooms. She was always very assertive so when a 6 year old Isabella told her mom that she wanted to act, her parents knew she meant it. Luckily, her mom Eliana had a close friend that was involved in the industry and through him she started dipping her foot in the commercial world in Colombia. She was in love right away, and her vivacious personality at such a young age caught the eye of those around. From there she was booked to be the host of the launching of a government issued program that focused on providing food for kids in need in the state. At the mere age of 6 she hosted a 2 1/2 hour long ceremony all by herself, shocking the audience and those working with her. She continued to host ceremonies and kept working on commercials.
When Isabella was 10 her dad Sergio decided to move to the United States in search of a better life. Once in Orlando, Florida she pushed to finally be put in professional classes so she could further pursue her passion, but the language barrier prevented her from being able to go in right away. Determined to train, Isabella worked on learning English and getting rid of her accent. Soon enough, her mom agreed to enroll her in the little acting studio down the street, the Lisa Maile School. She eventually took almost every course available, all the while forming a strong bond with an administrator there, Loretta Rispoli. She would later make a phone call to close friend Traci Danielle, president and owner of Brevard Talent Group, urging her to give this little newcomer a chance. Soon after Isabella had signed with her very first agent, an agent she still has to this day and considers a close friend. Now with Traci’s help Isabella broke into the commercial industry in the United States, working on projects such as Tobacco Free Florida, Friendly’s, Publix, Universal Studios and so on. After working with a couple different coaches she decided to try a new one her mom recommended, Kia RiddickTaylor. This ended up being a match made in Heaven both in a professional sense and a personal one. Isabella found a new home, a new family and a second mom in her studio. Due to the relaxed, open-minded nature of the class and the people in it she was able to finally fully give herself over to her craft with Ms. Kia guiding her every step of the way. It was with her that Isabella believes she began finding who she was as an actress. With a whole new skill set and a boosted confidence Isabella was sent off to audition for her very first character role in a then new Nickelodeon show called Grachi. The process took about 6 months, a time in which the show was renamed Every Witch Way, and she had made it to test deals and was being flown out to Los Angeles for the final audition. It was everything her and her parents had dreamed off, it seemed as if she had made it. Getting the call that she had in fact not been chosen shattered her. However, instead of wanting to quit, it made her want to get booked even more. She flew to LA and met with a few managers, one of them being Doyle Rice, who her dad took an immediate liking to. However, she chose someone else and secured her first manager. Isabella went on to a Theatre Magnet Program in high school and her freshman year she flew out to LA for 7 weeks so she could partake in her first pilot season. After booking a print for Coke and several callbacks for different shows she landed her first character role, Cristina Sandoval on Matador, Robert Rodriguez’s upcoming show. For about the next year she flew back and forth from Florida to California in order to work on the show and attend school and soon after talks of moving to the City of Angels began. She kept auditioning and training and half way through her sophomore year she got cast as one of the leads in The Illusion by Tony Kushner. The show is set up so the leads play 3 different characters throughout the show and she played Melibea/Isabelle/Hippolyta. She took the challenge head on and after it was over she felt certain she was ready to take the next step in her career.
In the summer of 2015 Isabella and her family packed up once again and moved cross-country so she could further pursue her career in acting. Her contract with her previous manager being over, she reconnected with Doyle Rice and signed with him. His style and personality were a much better fit for her and her family, making them more excited and driven than ever. She started training and auditioning again, but she found it difficult to adjust to a new teacher and to being in the room after doing self tapes for so long. The first 6 months of her living there were dry, with just a single callback and an increasing frustration. After the holidays the new year came and Isabella had a long chat with Ms. Kia that reassured her she has the capability to do this. With a new mindset and a new pilot season to focus on she put all her energy and effort into her craft. She booked a little role on Modern Family and continued to audition for other projects and soon after she found herself at a callback standing in front of Norman Lear. He was looking for the daughter in a remake of One Day At a Time, this time with a Cuban-American family. A chemistry read and a few days later she got the call that she had booked the role of Elena Alvarez, who she would play alongside the legendary Rita Moreno as her grandma and the wonderful Justina Machado as her mom. Now the first season is almost done and Isabella has started looking for her next project until the possible season 2 of ODAAT.

I arrived in Spokane Valley in 1975, at six weeks old. My large, loving, mixed-race family experienced its share of ups and downs and taught me the value of character, compassion, and community. My parents always worked for social justice, as youth leaders, social workers, public defenders, and activists, teaching their six children that we must use our gifts to help others.
My first foray into politics came as a child, after my father was fired from his job simply because he was gay and my mother struggled to support the family as a single mother of six. My family experienced poverty, as well as discrimination based on race, gender, and sexual orientation. I helped my dad fight for a law to make discrimination against gay people illegal in the 1980’s. While that effort failed, neither I, nor my dad, would stop fighting for what’s right, because we knew it would happen one day.
But I also experienced the incredible power of community support, and people looking out for me. I had the privilege of receiving scholarships to attend wonderful schools, such as Saint George’s School in Spokane. I recognized what an extraordinary opportunity this was and worked as hard as I could. I graduated in 1993 as valedictorian and was accepted into Yale University, where I earned a degree in clinical child psychology. Most importantly, I met my wife Amy on our second day on campus. We fell in love instantly, married just after graduation, and will soon celebrate our nineteenth anniversary. We have two amazing teenage sons, Alex and Aidan, both students at West Valley High School.
My professional life has been devoted to public service. I began as a case manager, treatment provider, and mentor for juvenile offenders and kids in special education classrooms, and as a Court Appointed Special Advocate. I served adults with serious mental illness while working at Frontier Behavioral Health. I then went to Gonzaga Law School, as a Thomas More Scholar, so that I could learn the skills necessary to make a systemic difference.
After graduating from GU law at the top of my class in 2006, I worked as an Assistant United States Attorney in Spokane and had the honor of representing the United States in a wide array of civil and criminal cases. I learned more about what government can do and found solutions to large challenges. I moved to private practice in 2012, and have zealously and successfully advocated for consumers victimized by corrupt businesses, people trapped in jails and mental hospitals, and workers who have faced discrimination. I have helped hundreds of people recover millions of dollars, and have stopped numerous illegal practices.

Jaclyn Archer a senior undergrad student at Eastern Washington University getting a degree in English Literature with a minor in History. She is a journalist and writer. She has contributed to The Black Lens and worked for nearly two school years as a section editor at The Easterner. She has appeared on other KYRS shows (such as Praxis and F Yes!) as the Community Relations Officer for Eastern’s Black Student Union, and a representative of the Multicultural Coalition. She has volunteered with PJALS, WashingtonCAN!, Spokane NOW, and am a member of the Spokane NAACP. Most recently (Saturday) I was elected as the Vice-Chair of Spokane County’s Democratic Central Committee
When Andrew Biviano asked me to run for Vice Chair of the Spokane County Democrats, I was skeptical. I’ve been a registered Democrat from the time I could vote. My allegiance was not born of party loyalty, but a desire to participate in the democratic process by caucusing. I voted for President Obama in 2012, and caucused for Bernie last March, but over the last eight years I have become disillusioned with the Democratic Party.
But, I believe that the people of the Democratic party are genuine and committed to service. If we struggle to bring about a progressive future, it is only because we need to reforge the tools of progress within our political organizations. I do not wish to stand on the outside of this process. I wish to take part, not only as a voter and active citizen, but as Vice Chair of the Spokane County Democratic Central Committee.
What does change look like?
I have often asked ‘What is the purpose of the Democratic Party?’ The answer is simple: To elect Democrats to political office. The more important question is ‘Why?’
If Democrats cannot offer people something more or better than the other guy, we’re just trying to win for the sake of winning. But I believe the party is more than that. The Democratic Party has built itself up appealing to labor, to women, to the Black, the Brown, the queer, the immigrant, the atheist, and the disenfranchised. When we convince them to vote for us, we are making a promise to give them in return what the other guy can’t or won’t deliver: justice, equality, a voice, a consistent ear to their interests, and candidates who will make them a priority.
I envision a Spokane Democratic Party that acts as a service organization, that gets involved with the liberation of its constituency. That means joining hands with the NAACP, with Planned Parenthood, with labor unions, queer organizations, and others who are likely to see their government protection eroded over the next four years.
This means listening to the needs of our constituencies, extending tangible support, and shaping our vision of government into a tool that better serves them, and the greater purpose of social advancement and harmony.
This is the change that must come to the Democratic Party. Spokane needs and deserves a truly progressive voice, and I want to be a part of the team that shapes it.
Why trust me?
Firstly, I’m an outsider. I only care about how best to serve the people of Spokane, and have no previous political conflicts with the potential to sway my judgment.
I am involved. Since I made Spokane my new home nearly four years ago, I have been involved in progressive causes with the Peace and Justice Action League of Spokane (PJALS). I have lent my voice to the cause of gender and race pay equality in the City of Spokane, partnering with our local chapter of the National Organization for Women as a leader with Washington Community Action Network (Washington CAN!). I have written several articles for The Black Lens, including one that tackled the racist and problematic statements of Interim Police Chief Jim McDevitt. I have interviewed the Mayor’s Office and marched on City Hall. In short, I care, and I put myself on the line on a regular basis, fighting for the kind of community Spokane can be.
I am an innovator. As a student at Eastern Washington University I provided tutorials on journalistic writing that I created myself to introduce new staff writers to the craft. I am currently serving my second year term as Community Relations Officer for the Black Student Union, an office which I have expanded to Community Liaison, thus building a relationship with the local NAACP. I acted as Revitalizing Facilitator for Eastern’s Scary Feminist Club, and I manage the social media and publicity for Eastern’s Multicultural Coalition, which is responsible for expanding the square footage and staffing of the Multicultural Center being built in the new Student Center. I get things done.
Finally, I live at the intersection of multiple marginalized identities.
My Perspective
I grew up in a small, rural town in Eastern Washington. College Place, separated by a three-lane road from Walla Walla, has only 8,000 residents, over 90% of whom are devoutly Christian. It was a wonderful upbringing in many respects. What it lacked, however, was an understanding of my complete identity.
At the age of twenty, I walked away from the faith of my childhood for good. It was a difficult decision, one I took several years to reach. But once I left the ideology of my parents and hometown, I was free to discover my identity as a member of the queer community. Over the last several years I have come out to my family, friends, and marriage partner as a bisexual and genderfluid individual. I have also come into my own as an activist who is not only anti-racist, but pro-Black. My membership in the Black, woman-loving, and trans communities gives me a unique first-hand perspective of multiple constituencies the Democratic Party aims to serve. While no one person can ever speak for a whole group, I can offer personal experience and credibility on issues of race, orientation, and gender identity.

BRANDON STANSELL is a fresh face onto the Country Music scene, but has always been nearby; honing his craft and finding his voice. SLOW DOWN, co-written with Mylen and the title track off his new EP, is the epicenter of his “California Country” sound with the raw emotion of those first moments in a budding relationship. SLOW DOWN was produced by Nashville-based producer, writer, and guitarist Erik Halbig. Stansell met Erik a few years ago through friend, Ty Herndon, who is featured on the track.
While his casual country sound is appealing, there is more that meets the eye with this crooner of Nashville roots. He is navigating the path of an openly-gay Country Artist. Brandon, while not the first to chart these waters, is one of few people in the industry willing to lay everything out for the listener and the result is an honest, beautiful musical experience.
Director Trent Atkinson, once again, joined his team directing the SLOW DOWN music video and building on the cinematic scope their first collaborative work, DEAR JOHN, which was released in early 2016.

Samone-Loreca started her career in social services in 2002, when she moved to Los Angeles. In addition to her HIV-focused work, she has been a ceaseless advocate for youth, trans people, and the homeless. She has worked with a number of agencies during her career, such as Californians Helping Alleviate Medical Problems (C.H.A.M.P), and Central City Hospitality House in San Francisco focusing on the homeless transgender community. She also worked with Minority AIDS Project and Skid Row Housing and Trust as a peer advocate outreaching to the homeless community. She was a case manager at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, working in the Division of Adolescent Medicine.
In 2004, Samone-Loreca decided to ‘go public’ and became an HIV Stops With Me spokesmodel. HSWM is a multi-component campaign that utilizes HIV positive spokespeople to deliver prevention messages to the community in person and through mass media. HSWM is one of the longest-running and most highly evaluated HIV prevention campaigns in the U.S. She continued that form of community outreach for 5 years. She was 1st runner up for the original Quest for the Cover(now APAIT’s Quest Pageant) and she ran again (and won) in 2005. The Quest Pageant encourages the development and advancement of transgender people and celebrates the uniqueness and diversity of the transgender community. The main goals of Quest are: to empower the male-to-female transgender (MTF TG) community with information on HIV transmission and prevention; to provide positive role models and a sense of community to counteract the stigma that leads to low self-esteem and high-risk behaviors among this population; and to train MTF TG advocates and role models on issues of HIV. Samone-Loreca was a long-time organizer of Trans Unity.
Samone-Loreca continues to remain a visible, out, HIV-positive trans woman. She has participated in numerous panels and workshops, training both the community and the providers who serve them. She participated in PEP LA (Peers Educating Peers in Los Angeles). She was most recently on the 20/20 Panel Discussion, HIV Past and Present.
